How the palette is picked

The tool samples the image, clusters similar colors together, and picks representatives from each major cluster. You get a balanced palette rather than five shades of the same color — usually 5-8 colors that actually represent the range of the image. For a tightly-colored image (a sunset, a product against a background), you might get fewer distinct colors; for a varied scene (a street photo, a colorful interior), you get more.

What to do with the palette

Paste the hex codes into Figma, Sketch, CSS variables, Tailwind config, Notion, or your design file. For brand work, pull a palette from the mood that inspired the brand and use it as a starting point.
