Real Estate Photography: How to Edit Photos for MLS (Free)

Professional photos sell homes 32% faster. But most Realtors don't have time to master Photoshop. You need a fast, free workflow to get your listings from your camera to the MLS.

The MLS Standard (Don't Get Rejected)

Most Multiple Listing Services (MLS) have strict requirements.

  • Resolution: Usually 3000px on the wide side.
  • Size Limit: Under 10MB (or 5MB for some).
  • Format: JPG only.

If you upload raw 20MB files from a DSLR, they will likely be rejected or compressed badly.

The 3-Step Workflow for Realtors

1. Brighten Dark Rooms

A dark living room looks small and depressing.

  • The Fix: Use our Image Upscaler.
  • It doesn't just make images bigger; it uses AI to hallucinate details and balance lighting in dark areas.

2. Branding (Watermarking)

You worked hard for that listing. Don't let other aggregators steal your photos without credit.

  • The Fix: Use the Watermark Tool.
  • Upload your agency logo (Remax, KW, etc.) and stamp it in the bottom corner of 50 photos at once.

3. Resize for MLS

  • The Fix: Use our Bulk Resizer.
  • Set the width to 3000px. this is the sweet spot for Zillow, Redfin, and Realtor.com.
