Your LinkedIn background photo (banner) is the first thing recruiters see. But LinkedIn has a tricky layout: your profile picture pokes a hole right through the bottom-left corner of the banner.
The Magic Dimensions
- Recommended Size: 1584 x 396 pixels.
- Aspect Ratio: 4:1.
- File Size: Max 8MB.
The "Safe Zone"
On Mobile, your profile picture moves! It shifts from the left to the center. This means you have two "danger zones" where you should never put text.
- Avoid: Bottom-Left corner (Desktop overlap).
- Avoid: Bottom-Center (Mobile overlap).
- Safe: Top-Right corner is always visible.
