Instagram grids (also known as "split images" or "profile banners") are a creative way to turn your profile into a giant canvas. By splitting a single high-quality photo into 3, 6, or 9 separate posts, you can make a huge impact on anyone visiting your profile.
What is a 3x3 Grid?
A 3x3 grid is simply one large image sliced into 9 equal squares. When uploaded to Instagram in the correct order, they fit together to reform the original image on your profile page.
How to Create a Grid Split
You don't need Photoshop to do this. Our tool handles the math and slicing for you.
- Choose a High-Res Photo: Since you are zooming in, make sure your original image is high quality.
- Go to the Grid Splitter Tool.
- Upload your image.
- Select Layout: Choose "3x3" for a large square grid, or "3x1" for a row.
- Download: We give you a ZIP file with all the numbered pieces.
How to Post (The Trick)
The most important part is the order. You must post the bottom-right image first, and the top-left image last.
- Our tool numbers the files for you.
- If you see files named 1, 2, 3... post them in that order (1 first).
