Getting a passport photo used to mean finding a photo booth, paying $15, and waiting in line. Now you can do it from your living room for free.
The Requirements
Most countries (UK, EU, Australia) use the 35x45mm standard. The US and India use 2x2 inches. Key biometric rules:
- Expression: Neutral (no smiling).
- Eyes: Fully visible (no glasses).
- Background: Plain white or light grey.
- Lighting: Even lighting, no shadows on face.
How to use our Passport Photo Maker
We built a tool specifically to handle these strict requirements.
- Take a Photo: Stand against a white wall. Ask a friend to take a photo of you (selfies can distort your nose). Leave plenty of space above your head.
- Go to Passport Photo Maker.
- Upload: Select your photo.
- Use the Overlay: Our tool shows a "Face Guide". Align your eyes and chin with the guide lines.
- Crop: Use the zoom slider to fit your head perfectly (70-80% of the image).
- Download: Get a perfectly sized image ready for printing.
